The Miami Heat recently received a jolt when it was revealed that former teammates Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro got into a skirmish at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Adebayo reportedly punched Herro at a practice court, seemingly in response to a graphic Herro had recently posted highlighting Adebayo's inefficiency as a jump shooter, and some DM’s he allegedly sent via burner account criticizing the star center.
Now, more is coming to light about how the Heat viewed Herro toward the end of his tenure there, which reached its conclusion when he was sent to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade package last month.

Summer League Standouts ⭐
Sunday's marquee matchup between AJ Dybantsa and Darius Acuff Jr was one of the more one-sided affairs we’ve seen over the first few days. Dybantsa (23 PTS, 7 REB, 3 STL) was simply dominant in his 24 minutes of action, playing with a level of aggression that you rarely see from players in their second-ever professional game. Acuff (12 PTS, 4-14 FG, 4 TOV) did show off some nifty finishing, but defensive lapses and a rough shooting night prevented him from ever really settling into the game.
Even though it was back on Friday, it would be a crime not to mention Caleb Wilson’s (34 PTS, 7 3PM) electric Summer League debut. His 34 points were the most ever by a player in their first Summer League game, and it gets even crazier when you realize how he did it. In one game, Wilson hit as many threes as he did all of last season at UNC.
Yaxel Lendeborg (14 PTS, 4 3PM) has been every bit as advertised and then some so far in Vegas, proving that he really is one of the most NBA-ready players in the class. The former Michigan Wolverine is 9-17 from long-range through three games, and has been excellent on the defensive end.
After a rough first six quarters of professional basketball, No. 5 pick Keaton Wagler exploded to life halfway through last night’s win over the Utah Jazz, dropping 18 points in the third quarter to get his new teammates excited.
One of the surprise fallers in the NBA draft last month, Meleek Thomas (30 PTS, 7 AST, 4 STL) looked like the best player on the court for the Cavaliers on Sunday, and perhaps the biggest steal of the draft.
From a surprise second-round pick to a player who wasn’t even drafted in 2025, the Lakers Arthur Kaluma (34 PTS, 6 3PM, 5 REB) led all players in scoring to continue what’s been an excellent Summer League campaign for the former Texas and Kansas State star. After spending last season with the South Bay Lakers, Kaluma is making a strong case to crack LA's roster.
